Countrypet vs. FreshPet (Deli Fresh/Homestyle Select)
Many people ask what the difference between FreshPet and Countrypet is? Well again Countrypet has more meat than any other complete diet on the market! Lets look at the two FreshPet (aka Deli Fresh or Homestyle Select), for the vitamins and minerals we are nearly the same but lets look at the rest of the ingredients.
Freshpet:( http://www.delifreshpet.com/products/cvr.htm) Fresh chicken, poultry liver, chicken broth, carrots, peas, brown rice, dried egg product, rice bran, sea kelp, carrageenan, salt, natural flavors, flaxseed oil (note FreshPet has salt is in the list twice! once here and again in the vitamins as sodium chloride) then vitamins and minerals. Chicken Broth? What’s in that?
Countrypet : Lamb or beef or venison or chicken then the vitamins and minerals.
So again when it comes down to the better, meatier, healthier choice it is Countrypet over FreshPet and any other food on the market!
Natural Balance? What’s the difference?
Many people get confused between Natural Balance and Countrypet because they are in roll form, but do not be deceived! There is a huge difference between Countrypet and Natural Balance. First off look how high on the list sucrose(sugar) and sodium chloride(salt) are..hmm..then look at my favorite “natural” ingredients potassium sorbate and sodium nitrate, look what else you can do with sodium nitrate…Sodium nitrate is used as an ingredient in fertilizers, pyrotechnics, as a food preservative, and as a solid rocket propellants, as well as in glass and pottery enamels.
Also take a look at the not meat fillers, Wheat Flour, Wheat Bran, Lamb Meal(yucky yucky stuff!), Rice Flour
